In The Community

Helping our communities

At O&O Electrical we believe carving out time to fundraise for local charities and communities is important – and we support our employees in doing the same.

Helen and Douglas House

We have been pleased to fundraise for Oxford-based children’s charity Helen and Douglas House. In 2014 a group of family and friends from O&O Electrical undertook the gruelling 10 Peaks Challenge in the Lake District. We completed it in 12 hours and were delighted to present the charity with a cheque for £8,800.

On a separate occasion, we decided to forgo our usual Christmas party and hosted a charity race night instead. Great fun was had by all colleagues, their friends and family and we raised an impressive £2,137 for Helen and Douglas House again.

Local sponsorship

We’ve sponsored the community-run Bladon Family Feast for many years along with donations to the raffle and even a Trophy for the annual Tug of War competition!

When we heard some gymnasts from Bicester Gymnastics Club were competing in the USAIGC World Championship in Florida, we decided to surprise them with personalised kit bags. We’re happy to say they brought home a World Championship!

An O&O Electrical team donned their trainers and took part in the 10K Oxford Town and Gown race in aid of Muscular Dystrophy.

We have also carried out several interactive presentations in local primary schools. The schoolchildren were keen to learn about renewable energy and excited to act out how electricity is generated. If your school is interested in a visit from us please get in touch

Community Breakfast

In October we supported The Prince’s Trust by hosting “The Brilliant Breakfast” . This was a community event at our offices, cooking bacon rolls and making tea and coffee for all our neighbours at Bankside raised an amazing £500.00.
